Westminster Returns to Dumke Field
The Westminster women's soccer team returns home this weekend to start a stretch where they will play four of their final six games at Dumke Field. The Griffins will open the span on Friday when they host Adams State at 4 p.m. They will then welcome Fort Lewis to town on Sunday at 1 p.m.

About the Griffins
Westminster returns home at 6-2-3 overall this season. They have gone 3-1-3 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action. Their 12 points are good enough for fifth-place in the current standings. The Griffins are 3-1-1 at home this year and unbeaten in their last three games at Dumke Field.
The Griffins are scoring 1.55 goals per game to rank fifth in the RMAC. They lead the conference by taking 16.55 shots per game and in putting 8.18 shots on goal per outing. The team get 0.82 assists per game and takes 4.45 corners.

Historic Season for Women's Soccer
• The 2016 season is the 10th season of competition for the Westminster women's soccer program. The Griffins have gone 102-68-16 (.591) all-time and they have recorded six straight seasons with at least 10 wins. The Griffins recorded the 100th win in program history at Colorado Mesa on September 18.
Defense Rules
• The Griffins have allowed one goal or less in nine of the 11 games this season with six shutouts. They are second in the RMAC and tied for 33rd in the NCAA with a .55 shutout percentage. The team has allowed two goals or more just three times in the past 16 games dating back to last season.
One Goal Only
• Westminster hasn't allowed an opponent to score multiple goals in a game at Dumke Field since October 20, 2013. During that 22-game span the team is 16-3-3 with 12 shutouts. They have outscored the opposition 44-10 in those games and they have allowed just three total goals in the past 10 home games.

Madison Roemer tallied her first career hat trick – the fifth in school history – against UCCS on September 25. The senior added an assist in the win to set a school record with seven points. Roemer has scored eight goals this season and leads the conference in goals and points. Her five game-winning goals are tied for the second-most of any player in the country. Roemer also leads the RMAC by taking 3.82 shots per game.

• With those eight goals this season, Roemer has moved into a tie for fourth in team history with 17 career goals. She also ranks sixth with 41 career points and second with nine game-winning goals. Roemer can also be found in the Westminster top-10 in shots (107) and shots on goal (53).

Heidi Lorschider is second on the team with four goals and nine points. She had a streak of three straight games with a point – tied for the fifth-longest such streak in team history – snapped in the loss at Colorado Mines on October 7. Lorschider was named the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week on October 4 after posting two goals and one assist during the week's action.

Maddie Lewis has started all 11 games at defense for the Griffins this season and she leads the team with 1,069 minutes played. Lewis has now played in 63 consecutive games and made 61 straight starts, the fourth-longest streak in team history. Lewis ranks sixth in team history with 5,684 minutes played.

Breanna Empey has started all 11 games in goal for the Griffins and ranks third in the RMAC with her 0.68 GAA. She has made 27 saves and has a .771 save percentage. Empey has compiled a 6-2-3 record and her five shutouts already rank tied for sixth in a single season in team history.
