Griffin Women Close out Regular Season, Have Date With #14 UCCS in First Round

Salt Lake City, UT - The Westminster Griffins women's soccer entered their matchup with Colorado Mesa University Mavericks with playoff qualification already secured, and despite a narrow 1–0 defeat on Wednesday night, the Griffins' season remains a resounding success. The score came from Kylie Wells in the 49th minute for Colorado Mesa. (Westminster University Athletics)

Throughout the season the Griffins demonstrated resilience, building a strong overall record and navigating a tough conference slate with poise—ending 7‑3‑6 overall and 4‑3‑5 in RMAC play. (Westminster University Athletics) Their ability to bounce back from ties and losses and remain focused on the ultimate goal sets the tone for the program's character and upward trajectory.

Now as the #6 seed in the conference playoffs, Westminster will head on the road to face the #3‐seeded University of Colorado Colorado Springs Cougars on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in Colorado Springs. With the postseason beginning, the Griffins look to carry their momentum forward and make a deep run after a successful regular campaign.
