Cardwell, Manwaring, and Gubler Honored With First-Team All-Academic

Westminster's commitment to excellence on and off the pitch was on full display this season as three standout student-athletes—Jack Cardwell, Necie Gubler, and Tommy Manwaring—earned major RMAC honors, pairing elite athletic performance with the academic discipline that defines the Griffin standard. Cardwell and Gubler were named to the RMAC First Team All-Academic list after delivering exceptional seasons, while Manwaring's dominant presence in goal secured him a spot on the RMAC First Team All-Conference.

Cardwell, a senior forward, finished his career with one of his strongest campaigns, setting the tone up front with goals, creativity, and leadership in critical stretches of the season. His academic success matched that on-field impact, as a demanding course load never interrupted his consistency or preparation. His All-Academic recognition highlights a student-athlete who treated every responsibility with equal urgency and professionalism.

After breaking out in 2023, Gubler delivered a standout 2024 campaign with 6 goals, 2 assists, and First Team All-RMAC honors while starting all 17 matches. Her ability to dictate tempo and control games mirrored the focus she brought to the classroom, ultimately earning RMAC First Team All-Academic status and solidifying her reputation as one of the most well-rounded and reliable players in the program.

Manwaring added another layer to Westminster's success with a stellar year in goal, earning First Team All-Conference after showcasing elite command of the box, sharp reflexes, and a calm presence that elevated the entire defensive unit. His recognition underscores the impact of a goalkeeper who consistently delivered when it mattered most and grew into one of the top players in the league.

Together, Cardwell, Gubler, and Manwaring represent the foundation of Westminster Athletics: excellence rooted in discipline, character, and a commitment to developing the complete student-athlete. Their achievements underscore a culture where academic responsibility and competitive ambition go hand in hand, leaving behind an example that future Griffins will strive to follow.
