Broomfield, CO – The Westminster Griffins Women's Golf team opened their 2024 season at The Swan Memorial, held at The Broadlands Golf Course from September 9-10. Competing in a field of 12 teams, the Griffins finished a strong fifth overall after two rounds of 18 holes.
Freshman Madalyn Hadley led the way for Westminster, shooting a +6 and securing a 15th place finish on the individual leaderboard. Her standout performance helped propel the team to their top-five result.
"This was a strong start to our season," said Denise Larson, Director of Golf. "I'm particularly impressed with Madalyn's steady play. She showed a lot of poise out there, and we know we can play even better. We're looking forward to our home tournament at Glenmoor, and we hope everyone will come out to support this up-and-coming team!"
Other notable performances for the Griffins included:
- Reimi Bleyl, finishing in 28th with a score of +11
- Ashley Lam, shooting +13
- Kyra Sponeburgh, carding a +15 finish
- Jailee Snow, rounding out the top 50 with a +19
