PUEBLO - The Westminster women's golf team wrapped up play at the NCAA West Region Preview, finishing 11th overall in a competitive 21-team field. The Griffins posted rounds of 317 and 306 over two days for a total score of 623.
Ashley Lam continued her steady play, leading Westminster with rounds of 73 and 75 to finish at +6. Lily Shin followed with scores of 81 and 75 to post +14, while Kindra Hirasuna improved four strokes in round two with 84–77 (+19).
Remi Rawlings carded rounds of 80 and 79 (+17), and Reimi Bleyl rounded out the lineup with 83–82 (+23).
Lam finished sixth, earning her fourth top-ten finish of the fall and finishing ahead of last year's No. 9-ranked player in the nation.
"We are pleased with the way the ladies matched up against the strongest field we played this fall. This shows we are contenders for post season play." Coach Larson said.Â
Westminster will close out its fall schedule at the East Bay Invitational on October 27–28.
