The Westminster women's golf team wrapped up its fall season at the East Bay Fall Invitational at Stonebrae, finishing 11th overall with a three-round total of 954 (326–316–312).
Ashley Lam continued her strong form to close the semester, finishing tied for fifth individually at +6 (72–75–75). Lam's consistent play marked another top finish in what has been a standout fall for the Griffins' veteran leader.
Lily Shin turned in her best round of the tournament on Tuesday, firing a 1-under 71 to finish 27th at +17 (82–80–71). Isabel Wade carded rounds of 82, 81, and 85 to finish T53 at +32, while Remi Rawlings posted scores of 95, 80, and 81 to place T64 at +40. Reimi Bleyl rounded out the Westminster lineup at +41 (90–82–85), finishing T66.
The Griffins capped the fall with steady improvement across the lineup and will now shift focus to offseason preparation ahead of the spring portion of their 2025 schedule.
Head Coach Denise Larson reflected on the team's progress, saying, "Our young team worked hard this season! Winning our home event was a definite highlight and has facilitated a belief that we can compete in any event. We still need to work hard over the winter to make sure we come back for a strong spring and achieve our goal of qualifying for NCAA regionals."
Lam reflected on the team's potential heading into spring, saying, "I'm excited to see what me and my team can do because I know we all have a lot of potential to play really well! I know there's a win waiting for us," she said. "This fall season so far I've been able to win one and tie for first in another, which is a great start to the spring season. I've also been able to meet my goal of placing in the top 10, and I'm excited to try and continue that this spring."
