Round 1
The Westminster women's golf team teed off the spring season on Monday at Corica Park GC in Alameda, California, competing in the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout hosted by CSU East Bay. The Griffins posted a first-round team score of 306, setting the foundation for their two-day showing at the NCAA Division II event.
Round 2
Westminster closed out the tournament on Tuesday with a second-round score of 303, a three-stroke improvement from the opening round. The Griffins finished with a two-round total of 609, placing 11th out of 19 teams in the field.
Griffin Performances
Ashley Lam was the standout performer for Westminster, finishing 8th overall in the field. Lam carded a first-round 70 (-2) and followed it up with an even-par 72 in Round 2, finishing the tournament at -2 with a 142 total — the low score on the squad.
Remi Rawlings finished T46, posting back-to-back rounds of 77 to close at +10 with a 154 total.
Lily Shin finished T56, showing strong improvement in the second round by jumping from an 82 in Round 1 to a 74 in Round 2, finishing at +12 with a 156 total.
Isabel Wade finished T60, recording rounds of 77 and 80 to close at +13 with a 157 total.
Madalyn Hadley finished T88, rounding out the lineup with rounds of 85 and 81 to finish at +22 with a 166 total.
