SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster Women's Soccer team has released their schedule for the 2022 season. The Griffins will play on their home turf on Dumke Field a total of seven times this fall with a total of 19 games, including two exhibitions to prepare for the regular season.
After playing a pair of exhibition games vs. Central Wyoming College and Idaho State University the Griffins will open the 2022 season in the Sunshine State of Florida with back-to-back road games starting on Aug 25 against Palm Beach Atlantic University. They will then play Lynn University on Aug 27.
The first of those seven home matches comes on Sept 5 against Seattle Pacific University. The Griffins will have a short stint at home as after their home opener, they hit the road once again; this time they head to Nampa, Idaho, for two games, first with Hawaii Pacific University and then Northwest Nazarene University as their final non-conference games come to an end.
The RMAC season begins with a trip to Denver on Sept 15 at The Assembly Athletic Complex - Soccer Field to take on MSU-Denver after their first road conference game. The Griffins then host UCCS (Sept 23) and CSU-Pueblo (Sept 25.)
The Griffins will celebrate their seniors on Senior Day on their final home game of the year on Oct 23 at 1:00 P.M. on Dumke Field, and they will play their last round of the 2022 season on the road at Colorado Mesa on Oct 26.
The Griffins, who were (10-3-15, 7-2-3 RMAC) last year and lost in PKs to Colorado School of Mines in the RMAC Quarterfinal but were able to advance to the NCAA Championships Tournament but fell to Angelo State University in OT 3-2.
The Griffins close out the regular season with home games against Carroll on Oct 25 and Rocky Mountain on Nov 2.
