The 2018 spring semester ended with another strong academic performance from Westminster's student-athletes. The 286 student-athletes finished the semester with a combined grade-point-average (GPA) of 3.417.
The GPA ranks as the third-highest all-time among Westminster student-athletes and this is the seventh straight semester the GPA has been 3.3 or higher.

A total of 165 student-athletes finished the spring with a GPA at 3.5 or higher, accounting for 58 percent of the total student-athletes. 37 of those finished with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Included in the 165 at 3.5 or higher, 37 of those finished with a perfect 4.0 GPA to account for 13 percent of the group.
During the spring sports season, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference honored 37 Griffins for their academic and athletic success. Â
Naena Bland was named to the RMAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic Team. Another 53 Griffins were selected to the All-Academic Honor Roll - 9 from men's basketball, three from women's basketball, two from men's golf, six from women's golf, 17 from men's lacrosse, 10 from women's lacrosse, seven from men's indoor and outdoor track & field, and eight from women's indoor and outdoor track & field.
Academic Players of the Year, and First Team All-Academic members, are voted on by the conference's sports information directors. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.30 cumulative grade point average and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters.
