Salt Lake City, UT - Westminster College's 227 NCAA student-athletes finished the 2022 fall semester with a combined GPA of 3.6, marking the 15th straight semester with a combined GPA higher than 3.3. 183 student-athletes finished the semester with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, accounting for 81 percent of the total student-athletes. 85 earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and 50 finished with a 4.0.

"We're very proud to announce the academic accomplishments of our student-athletes from this fall," Westminster Director of Athletics Shay Wyatt said. "These results demonstrate our student-athletes ability to successfully manage demanding schedules and maintain academics as a top priority.  Congratulations to our student-athletes for their impressive work and for continuing the tradition of meeting the academic standards set forth by our institution."

Amongst the five NCAA sports competing this past fall, women's soccer had the most student-athletes named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll with 20, and the volleyball team had the highest cumulative GPA of the fall sports with a 3.7 and 5 student-athletes attaining a 4.0.

"It is great to be known for all our sports excellence, but even better for our academic success," said Shelley Jarrard Associate Athletics Director / Senior Woman's Administrator.  "Every day, I see our student-athletes putting in the work in the classroom and then some. Not only have our student-athletes been extraordinary in working with their demanding athletic schedules, but our professors have also been too. Great job, Griffins!"

Westminster had 58 Student-Athletes named to the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll this past fall semester:  To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters.
