Westminster Home for Two Games
The Westminster women's soccer team will play regular season games at home for the first time this season when they host a pair of games over the next six days. On Sunday, the Griffins will host Saint Martin's at 1 p.m. in the home opener. They will then host in-state foe Dixie State on Tuesday at 4 p.m. Both games will be played at Dumke Field and tickets are available at

Historic Season for Women's Soccer
The 2016 season is the 10th season of competition for the Westminster women's soccer program. The Griffins have gone 98-66-13 (.598) all-time and they have recorded six straight seasons with at least 10 wins. The Griffins went 10-6-1 (.618) last season, its first competing in the RMAC and against a NCAA Division II schedule. During eight seasons in the NAIA, Westminster made three trips to the NAIA National Championships and won two Frontier Conference regular season titles.
Fast Starters
Westminster started the season 2-0 for the third consecutive season and the fifth time in the 10 years of the program. The team started 4-0 in both 2014 and 2015 and they have never started with five straight wins.
Coming in Hot
With the two wins at the Franklin Pierce Classic Westminster extended its current winning streak to five games dating back to last season. The five-game span is tied for the longest winning streak in team history, and is the fourth time they have won five games in-a-row.
Double for Roemer
Madison Roemer opened her senior season by scoring the game-winning goal in each of the team's two games last weekend. She scored the two goals on six shots – five on goal – and she is tied for the RMAC lead in goals scored. Roemer is now tied for ninth in team history with 11 career goals and tied for third with six game-winning goals.
Quickly
•Westminster hasn't allowed an opponent to score multiple goals in a game at Dumke Field since October 20, 2013. During that 17-game span the team is 13-2-2 with nine shutouts. They have outscored the opposition 35-8 in those games and will begin the year without allowing a goal at home in 180 minutes.
•The Griffins recorded consecutive shutouts to start the season and they have now had 17 occasions with at least two straight shutouts. The school record for consecutive shutouts is five straight games set during the 2010 season.

Heidi Lorschider scored one of the team's three goals in the win against Felician on Sunday. The senior took five shots during the weekend with three of them on goal. She has now scored five goals in her career and ranks 16th in team history with 16 career points.

Alexis Sims scored her first career goal against Felician as the defender scored on her only shot of the weekend. Sims started both games at defense and played 137 total minutes.

Tiana Cerciello led the Griffins with eight shots – five on goal – during the weekend in New Hampshire. The junior tallied one assist in the two games and played 128 minutes.
•Senior
Maddie Lewis started both games and played all 180 minutes of action. She has now played in 54 consecutive games and made 52 straight starts. Lewis ranks eighth in team history with 4,795 minutes played and she was the only Griffins to play 180 minutes during the opening weekend.

Breanna Empey started both games in goal during the opening weekend and earned a pair of victories and one shutout. Empey recorded three saves and faced six shots. She was part of the combined shutout against Felician.

•The Saints are 0-1 on the season and will face Notre Dame de Namur on Thursday.
•They lost 2-1 at Cal State Los Angeles on September 1.
•Kelli Bannerman scored the team's lone goal in the loss.
Match Facts: Dixie State
•The Griffins and Trailblazers will play for the first time on Tuesday.
•Dixie State went 0-2 last weekend and they will host Humboldt State and Sonoma State on Thursday and Saturday.
•The Trailblazers were outscored 3-0 in their two losses in Oregon to start the year.
•Darian McCloy led the team with eight shots and put five on goal.

Westminster will begin RMAC play on September 18 when they travel to Grand Junction, Colo. to play Colorado Mesa.
