SALT LAKE CITY – Fresh off setting six schools record last week at the UVU Collegiate Invite, the Westminster track & field team will travel to Santa Barbara, Calif. this weekend to compete at the Sam Adams Combined Events hosted by Westmont College. The meet will be held at the Westmont Track on Friday and Saturday.

Among the highlights from the UVU meet for Westminster was the performance from
Casey Evans in the high jump. The sophomore qualified for the NAIA National Championships in the event by clearing a school-record 2.08 meters to tie for the event win. He currently ranks third in the NAIA in the event and will be making a second-straight appearance at the National Championships.

Joseph Feichko set a new Westminster record in the 400 Meter by posting a time of 50.72 seconds. He also had the third-best time in school history in the 200 Meter at 23.27 seconds.
Joe Cremer went 23.66 seconds in the 200 for the seventh-fastest time by a Griffin and
Dylan Chatters 23.89 seconds is ninth-best.

Karsten Gillwald set the Griffin mark in the 3,000 Meter Steeplechase by completing the race in 10:48.54.
Chandler Clark posted 40.49 meters in the Discus to put his name atop the school charts in that event.

Alexandra Westbrooks established a new Griffin record in the 100 Meter when she finished her race in 12.84 seconds. She is the first Westminster runner to break 13 seconds in the event. Rylei North had the seventh-fastest time in school history in the event at 13.43 seconds.

Payton Schiff finished the 1,500 Meter in 4:56.86 to set the Westminster mark in the event while
Erin Kibler finished in 5:00.63 for the second-best time in school history.
Ofa Halaufia hit a distance of 30.29 meters in the Discus for the fifth-best throw by a Griffin.
