Senior sprinter Alexandra Westbrooks resides in the record book with many all-time Griffin marks in races that were finished before this sentence. Originally hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, the 5’7” Elementary Education major dashed west for high school and tore it up for the southern Salt Lake Valley’s Copper Hills Grizzlies. In addition to every semester of her high school career on the Grizzly Honor Roll, the track star lumbered on the flat wood playing basketball, and splintered the banked boards sprinting for the big bad bears. At Westminster, “Alex” continues her high school feat with every semester on the Dean’s List, while adding Academic All-Conference honors in Track. Sister Alyson and brother Leo stand by, and back in the Tar Heel State, parents Andrea and Greg Giddens will gather to grab a glance and get a glimpse of her gait.
