Ogden, Utah — The Griffins continued to build early-season momentum this past Friday and Saturday at the Weber State Invitational, posting a series of program-defining performances that added to the record book and reinforced the team's depth across both the men's and women's squads.
Men's Highlights
The men's sprint group delivered multiple standout efforts that reshaped the program's all-time lists. In the 55 meters, Jeremy Alba recorded a time of 6.57, moving into second all-time in school history, while Orion Patten followed closely with a 6.87, also establishing a new school record mark in the event.
Sebastian Moon continued his strong weekend with two top-10 performances. He broke into the program's top-10 list in the 200 meters with a time of 23.98, then followed it up by cracking the top-10 again in the 400 meters, clocking 52.79. The men's performances highlighted continued progress in the short sprints and long sprint events as the indoor season unfolds.
Women's Highlights
On the women's side, the Griffins produced an impressive collection of top-10 program marks across the sprints, hurdles, and field events. In the 55 meters, Mac Beckham broke into the school's top-10 with a time of 7.78, while Bella Tocco joined her on the list with a 7.94.
The women's 55-meter hurdles featured significant depth, as Mia McKay moved into the top-10 with an 8.83, joined by Kanoe Haneberg at 9.14, Teyvia Sidberry at 9.62, and Carolina Renteria at 10.06.
In the high jump, Kanoe Haneberg delivered a historic performance, clearing 1.65 meters to set the all-time school record and move into the No. 1 spot in program history. The event also saw Teyvia Sidberry and Mia McKay both move into the top-10 all-time, each clearing 1.45 meters, adding further depth to the Griffins' field event success.
Looking Ahead
With another weekend of school records and top-10 performances in the books, the Griffins continue to show steady progression early in the indoor season. Westminster will be back in action next week at the Idaho State Invitational, where the team will look to build on its momentum, refine execution, and continue pushing performances up the program record lists.
