SALT LAKE CITY – The 21st-ranked Westminster College women's soccer returns home to play twice over the weekend. Westminster will begin the weekend on Friday with a contest against York College at 2 p.m. The Griffins will then play Hope International on Sunday at 2 p.m. York and Hope International will play each other on Saturday at noon with every game this weekend being played at Dumke Field on the Westminster campus.

Griffin Notebook
Westminster carries a 5-1 record into this week's action. They went 1-1 during a road trip to California last weekend, dropping a 4-0 decision at No. 10 Westmont (Calif.) on Friday before coming back to beat Marymount (Calif.) , 2-1, on Sunday.

The Griffins are 4-0 at home this season and have a 42-9-2 all-time record on Dumke Field. They have gone 13-0-1 in the previous 14 home games dating back to last season.

Westminster has outscored the opposition 19-7 this season with two shutouts. The margin is 19-3 in the five Griffin wins. Westminster is averaging 3.17 goals per game on 15.8 shots per contest. They have put 50 of their 95 total shots on goal while also picking up 16 assists. The defense allows just 1.17 goals per contest with the opposition attempting 9.2 shots.

Rylei North is off to a hot strat to her Griffin career. The sophomore forward leads the team with seven goals and ranks 17th in the NAIA in that department. North has scored in four games, including a hat trick in a win over Doane (Neb.) on Sept. 1. It was the first hat trick for a Griffin since the first game of the 2007 season.

Margo Hickman leads the team with five assists and is fourth in the NAIA in total assists. The five assists have already tied the school record for assists in a season and her 10 career assists are two shy of the school record. She also leads the team in shots with 19 with Justine Jones in second with 17 shots.

Jamie Wilkinson has posted a 0.67 goals against average through her first three appearances of the year. She has recorded three wins and one shutout with 11 saves. Dayna Winter-Nolte has posted two wins and one shutout this season. The senior has a 1.53 GAA with 12 saves.

Against the Opposition
Friday's game will be the first all-time meeting between Westminster and York College. Westminster leads the all-time series with Hope International 1-0. That other meeting was a 1-0 win by the Griffins on Sept. 1, 2007.
