Westminster Men’s Soccer Welcomes Gabriel and Michael Borjon to the Griffins Family

Salt Lake City, UT – Westminster University Men's Soccer is proud to welcome Gabriel Borjon and Michael Borjon to the Griffins family.

Gabriel Borjon will graduate from Mineral Wells High School, where he established himself as one of the most impactful midfielders in District 4-4A. A true engine in the middle of the park, Borjon played a pivotal role in driving his team's attack while maintaining defensive discipline and leadership on the field.

A consistent difference-maker, Gabriel's performances earned him District 4-4A MVP (Midfielder) honors, along with being named Mineral Wells Offensive MVP. His versatility and all-around play were further recognized as he was selected District 4-4A Co-Utility Player of the Year and 1st Team All-District. On a regional level, Borjon was named TASCO 1st Team All-Region (1-4A), highlighting his standing among the top players in Texas.

In the classroom, Gabriel matched his on-field excellence, earning Academic All-District honors and demonstrating the balance and discipline valued at Westminster University.

"Gabriel is a player who brings intensity, intelligence, and versatility every time he steps on the field. His ability to control tempo, contribute offensively, and compete on both sides of the ball stood out to us right away. He's a high-character student-athlete who fits exactly what we look for at Westminster, and we're excited to see the impact he'll make in our program."

Michael Borjon will also graduate from Mineral Wells High School, where he emerged as one of the most dominant and reliable defensive players in District 4-4A. Michael anchored the back line with physicality, composure, and leadership, consistently shutting down opposing attacks while contributing wherever the team needed him most.

A versatile and impactful player, Michael earned District 4-4A Defensive MVP honors after a standout season that showcased his ability to read the game, win duels, and organize the defense. His all-around value was further recognized as he was named Co-Utility Player of the Year, Mineral Wells Defensive MVP, and Mineral Wells Overall MVP. On the regional stage, Michael received TASCO 1st Team All-Region (1-4A) honors and was selected 2nd Team All-District, along with inclusion on the All Weatherford Democrat Team.

Off the field, Michael demonstrated strong commitment in the classroom, earning Academic All-District honors and exemplifying the student-athlete standard at Westminster University.
