Salt Lake City, Utah – Westminster University Men's Soccer is proud to announce the signings of Kyler Jonson and Thomas Taylor.

Kyler Jonson

Jonson joins the Griffins following an outstanding youth and high school career highlighted by elite-level production, state-wide recognition, and national team experience. A four-year varsity standout at Whitefish High School, Jonson earned All-State honors three times, was named 1st Team All-Conference three times, and received Academic All-State recognition all three years, demonstrating excellence both on the field and in the classroom.

In 2025, Jonson cemented himself as the most prolific scorer in Montana, finishing as the top scorer across all leagues in the state with 25 goals and 12 assists. The year prior, he ranked in the top third of scorers in Montana's A League, tallying 18 goals and 12 assists in 2024.

On the club level, Jonson spent the majority of his developmental years with Glacier Surf, where he established himself as a consistent offensive threat. He also competed at high levels with Washington East Surf (now competing in MLS NEXT), gaining valuable experience in elite travel tournaments.

Jonson's résumé includes national recognition as a member of the Surf Select National White Team (2024) and Surf Select National Blue Team (2025), competing against top talent from across the country. Additional club experience includes time with Flathead Valley United and the newly formed North West Elite 08B squad for supplemental tournament play.

A versatile and dangerous attacking player, Jonson brings a proven goal-scoring touch, creativity in the final third, and a strong work ethic that aligns with Westminster's competitive and academic standards.

"Kyler is a relentless competitor with a natural ability to find the back of the net," said Coach Pittman. "His production speaks for itself, but what stands out just as much is his consistency, leadership, and commitment to growth. We're excited to welcome him to the Griffin family."

Thomas Taylor

Thomas Taylor arrives at Westminster following an exceptional high school career highlighted by First Team All-State honors, two-time First Team All-Conference recognition, and an impressive 25 goals and assists combined in his senior campaign. His consistent production, leadership, and impact on both sides of the ball have distinguished him as one of the premier players in his region.

In addition to his high school accolades, Taylor earned selection to the prestigious ECNL National Selection Game, showcasing his ability to compete among the nation's top talent. His technical ability, field vision, and competitive drive make him a strong addition to the Griffins' attacking unit.

"Thomas is the type of player who elevates the level of everyone around him," said Coach Pittman. "He's proven himself at every level — from all-state recognition to national showcases — and we're excited about the impact he'll make in our program."

Taylor expressed enthusiasm about joining the Griffins program and beginning his collegiate career at Westminster University. "I'm excited to get started and be part of the Westminster family," Taylor said. "I'm ready to compete, grow, and help the team succeed."
