SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster men's lacrosse was picked to finish third in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference according to the 2026 Preseason Men's Lacrosse Coaches' Poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches.
The Griffins earned 17 points in the poll, finishing just behind Colorado Mesa and Concordia University Irvine. Head coaches were not permitted to vote for their own programs.
Westminster also placed three student-athletes on the 2026 Preseason All-RMAC Team. Senior attacker Luke Sillstrop, junior defender Keller Hopkins, and sophomore long-stick midfielder Ben Weber were all recognized for their performances during the 2025 season.
Sillstrop emerged as one of the conference's top offensive threats last spring, appearing in 14 games and totaling 28 goals and nine assists for 37 points, while shooting 36.4 percent and recording 52 shots on goal. Hopkins anchored the Griffins' defense, contributing eight ground balls and three caused turnovers while earning three starts on the back line. Weber made an immediate impact in his first collegiate season, starting 10 games and finishing with 27 ground balls and 16 caused turnovers.
The Griffins will open the 2026 season looking to build on last year's momentum as they prepare for another competitive RMAC slate.
