Game Breakdown
First Quarter
Westminster wasted no time, scoring nine unanswered goals before Adams State got on the board. Harrison Edwards opened the scoring at 12:08 assisted by Cam Conti, followed by Hank Osterberger, Cooper Riley, Luke Sillstrop, and Duke DeVault twice — the first on a man-up opportunity assisted by Ridge Crouch at 7:14. Ridge Crouch then added a man-up goal at 5:42 before Adams State's Cohen Taylor converted on a man-up opportunity at 2:50. Westminster closed the quarter with goals from Mathew Ousdigian and Sillstrop to lead 9-1.
Second Quarter
The Griffins kept the pressure on, outscoring Adams State 6-2 to take a 15-3 lead into halftime. Sillstrop opened the period with a goal assisted by Theo Le at 14:44, followed by Kaydin Berry, Tate Craig, and Boden Laforce. Adams State answered twice through Jason Parsons and Malik Maxwell (man-up), but Westminster responded with Maxwell Odom and Cam Conti to push the halftime lead to 15-3.
Third Quarter
Westminster outscored Adams State 4-1 in the third. Cam Conti, Drew Grau, Ethan Walling, and Tate Craig all scored for the Griffins, while Tre Williams got one back for Adams State to close the quarter at 19-4.
Fourth Quarter
Westminster added six more in the fourth — from Tate Craig, Maxwell Odom twice, Hank Osterberger, Odom again, and Max Muller — to set the final at 25-4. Adams State was held scoreless in the quarter.
Griffin Performances
Maxwell Odom had a breakout performance with 4 goals, 2 assists, and 6 points on 7 shots.
Tate Craig and Luke Sillstrop each contributed 3 goals and 3 points, with Craig adding 3 shots and Sillstrop posting 6 shots. Duke DeVault and Hank Osterberger each added 2 goals and 2 points.
Harrison Edwards recorded 1 goal, 2 assists, and 3 points on 7 shots, while Cam Conti added 2 goals, 1 assist, and 3 points on 3 shots. Kaydin Berry contributed 1 goal, 2 assists, and 3 points on 3 shots, and Owen Estee chipped in 2 assists. Theo Le recorded 3 assists and 3 points, and Cale Gunter added 2 assists.
