Griffins Erupt for 31 Goals in Dominant Win Over Dominican


Game Breakdown

First Quarter

Westminster wasted no time, scoring 12 unanswered goals to open the game. Hayden Hansen got things started just 10 seconds in, and Luke Sillstrop added three first-quarter goals. Harrison Edwards scored twice in the frame as well, and Duke DeVault contributed two goals and two assists. Ridge Crouch, George Phelps, Kaydin Berry, and Pierce Dahl each added a goal as the Griffins built a commanding 12-0 lead after one.

Second Quarter

Westminster continued to pour it on with five more goals. Xavier Monteiro opened the quarter, followed by Tate Craig and Theo Le. Drew Grau added his goal at 9:38, assisted by Carter Inazu. Dominican got on the board at 8:29 on a Brakken McDougal goal assisted by Mateo Polanco, but Craig answered before the half to push Westminster's lead to 17-1.

Third Quarter

Cam Conti and Hayden Hansen scored in the opening 41 seconds of the third to make it 19-1. Dominican added a Will Elfline goal at 13:52, but the Griffins answered with five more. Notably, Jake Bloom scored a man-down goal at 11:25, assisted by Theo Le, while Westminster was short-handed due to a Brian Rodriguez cross-check penalty. Theo Le then scored twice and Tate Craig added his third goal of the game to close the quarter 24-2.

Fourth Quarter

Westminster capped the afternoon with seven more goals in the final frame. Pierce Dahl, Maxwell Odom (twice), Xavier Monteiro, Max Muller, Ethan Walling, and Boden Laforce all found the back of the net as the Griffins closed out a 31-2 victory.
