Pueblo, Colo. - The Westminster University women's golf team traveled and competed at the Southern Colorado Open hosted at Walking Stick Golf Club over the weekend. The Griffins secured a respectable 6th-place overall finish out of 12 teams in the tournament.Â
Leading the team for the Griffins was Tuesday Epperson, with rounds of 74 and 73, totaling 147 (+3) to secure an eighth-place finish, her third top-ten finish in a row.Â
Supporting Epperson's strong showing, the team saw solid contributions from each participant on the 36 hole day.  Ellie Demond (74/78) finished tied for 21st, Halle Parking (79/78) tied for 31st, Kyra Sponenburgh (72/88) tied for 38th, and Jaile Snow (83/83) tied for 54th. Looking ahead, Westminster is poised to continue its momentum as they prepare for its next tournament at the Sonoma State University Spring Invitational in Rohnert Park, CA. With under a month until the RMAC Conference Championships the Griffins remain focused and determined to excel in this last invitational.
