Pocatello, ID – The Westminster Griffins Men's and Women's Track and Field teams kicked off their 2024-25 indoor season at the Idaho State University Winter Open, showcasing a strong start with several personal bests and school record marks.
Notable Performances
Men's Team
- 60m Hurdles: Brock Lloyd finished 6th with a time of 8.75, the 3rd fastest in program history.
- 200m: Zac Levin placed 9th with a time of 23.42, now the 4th fastest in school history.
- Mile: Mack Taylor claimed victory at 4:48.66.
- High Jump: Jude Porter soared to 1.98m (6-06.00 ft), setting a new Westminster school record.
Women's Team
- 60m Dash: Alivia Peston placed 4th, clocking 8.05, the 3rd fastest time in school history.
- 400m: Angela Martin-Rubin placed 4th with a time of 1:00.15, also the 3rd fastest at Westminster.
- Long Jump: Mia McKay's leap of 4.98m (16-04.25 ft) ties her for 9th farthest in program history.
- Triple Jump: Alexis Monson placed 2nd with a mark of 10.10m (33-01.75 ft).
- 4x400m Relay: Peston, Jocelyn Olsen, McKay, and Martin-Rubin combined for a time of 4:12.78, the 5th fastest relay time in school history.
