LAKE PLACID, New York - Hannah Saethereng and
Mikkel Solbakken both finished fourth overall in the Women's Giant Slalom (GS) and the Men's Slalom to earn first-team All-American honors at the 2023 NCAA Skiing Championship held at White Face Mountain in Lake Placid, N.Y. Saethereng posted GS times of 1:06:54 and 1:06:50 for a combined time of 2:13:04 to place fourth overall. Solbakken placed fourth overall in the men's slalom posting times of 54.14 and 56.29 totaling 1:50:43. Women's skiers
Evelina Fredericsson and
Denise Dingsleder earned second-team All-American honors for their top-10 finishes in the women's slalom.
Westminster men's and women's alpine skiing teams concluded the 2023 season with four top-ten, all-american finishes to conclude the NCAA Skiing Championship. Westminster finished with 225 team points in both the Men's and Women's Giant Slalom and Slalom races, 129 for the women and 94 for the men, which was good for 9th place overall (alpine and nordic scores combined, WC does not compete in Nordic), and 2nd place among the Alpine Point Leaders, finishing just 8 points below Alpine leader Denver University.
