Salt Lake City, UT - Today, The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced the Men's Soccer preseason coaches polls for the 2022 season with the Westminster Griffins coming in fifth out of the 11-team league. The Griffins saw a total of 59 points in the poll which was just six points short of fourth.
"I think it is a fair position for us to be voted to finish in 5
th place. We have yet to make that jump in the RMAC tournament and until we prove ourselves there then opponents will look at us as a middle-of-the-pack team. Our conference is the most competitive I have seen in my years involved in the RMAC and every game and point will be crucial," said Head Coach
Josh Pittman.
Last season the Griffins finished with a conference record of 6-4 which finished in third place in the conference but fell just short in the RMAC Quarterfinals with a 1-0 defeat to Regis University.
This week the Griffins will travel to Utah Valley University for their final exhibition game of the year before seeing the season begin on the road with back-to-back games in California on Aug. 25 and Aug. 27, the full schedule of the Westminster Griffins Men's Soccer 2022 season is on

"Our last game vs UVU is crucial in our preparation for Azusa Pacific and Cal Poly Pomona, Pittman said. "It will be important to sort out some combinations and for the guys to take what we have been working on and apply it successfully to the game Friday night."
Colorado Mesa receives 97 points and eight first-place votes to top the 2022 RMAC Men's Soccer preseason poll. The RMAC preseason poll is voted on by the league's 11 head coaches. Coaches are not permitted to vote for their program with right behind them in second with 92 points and three first-place votes.
