PROVO, Utah - Westminster men's and women's indoor track and field teams combined for nine top-three finishes at the second BYU Invite hosted at the BYU George Albert Smith Fieldhouse which concluded on Saturday.
Saydi Anderson won the women's 3k to highlight four top-three finishes on the women's side and Josue Jason posted two top-four finishes at the three-day meet.
Anderson's 10:12.12 in the women's 3000-meter race placed her atop a field of ten that included freshman teammate,
Hannah Rohrer-Fitzhugh, who finished the race in sixth with a time of 10:43.58. Earlier in the day,
Courtney McAlindon grabbed the first top-three for Westminster with a 5:04.35 to finish second in the women's 1-mile.
Josue Jason followed up a 7.03 in his first heat with a 7.06 in the men's 60m final to finish in second-place. Senior, Aidan Urban, clocked a 1:56.16, less than a half second off of the pace, to place second in the men's 800-meter.
Josii Johnson followed up with a second-place finish in the women's 800-meter race, finishing with a time of 2:22.17 ahead of teammate
Emily Worline who finished fifth at 2:23.05.
Katie Brotherson also recorded a top-three race on the women's side, finishing third in the women's 400-meter at 1:00.87. The women's distance runners also finished third in the women's 4X400, recording a final time of a 4:08.39.
Westminster will have next weekend off from competition before returning to action on Jan. 28-29 for the two-day Weber State Invite in Ogden, Utah.
