Aiden Urban finished first and
Tony Nickerson finished second in the 800 meters at the RMAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Black Hills State.
The men took a small team to compete in the 800 meters and the 4x400 meters relay.
Urban set a personal record and recorded a NCAA DII provisional time and personal best of 1:53.35 to finish first with Nickerson finishing on his heels in second with a time of 1:55.20.
This is Urban's second podium at the RMAC Championships in two seasons. Last year he ran a NCAA DII provisional time of 1:54.95 to finish third. Urban is the first Griffin to win an event at the RMAC Championship.
Urban and Nickerson joined
Thomas Maxfield and
Brock Lloyd for the 4x400 meters relay. The finished eighth, setting Westminster's fourth fastest 4x400 relay time (3:28.72)
