Colorado Springs, Colo.--The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced, on Thursday, the 2019-20 Indoor Track and Field All-Academic Team. Twenty-three Griffins were named to the All-Academic Honor Roll.

UCCS's Will Ross and Austin Leads were named All-Academic Player of the Year. Ross and Leads along with the other First Team All-Academic members were voted on by the conference's sports information directors.

Student-athletes with a 3.30 cumulative grade point average that have been active for two semesters or three quarters at their institution are eligible for consideration. Those not voted to the first team automatically qualify for the honor roll.

Both teams matched their record of honorees—13 men and 10 women—set in the 2018-19 season.

The women are represented by five seniors—
Kylie Harrison,
Hannah Painter,
Katie Valdez,
Maddy Vilhauer and
Allison Wright— three juniors—
Grace Cobabe,
Courtney McCabe and
Katie Scott— and two sophomores—
Hannah Rohrer-Fitzhugh and
Cali Corkran.

The men were represented by eight seniors—
Alec Brown,
Blake Katona, Josh Mickelsen,
Ryan Murphy,
Trevor Neal,
Tony Nickerson,
Payton Olsen and
Lasana Trawally— four juniors—
DJ Matthews, Max Mertz,
Tyler Shea and
Aiden Urban— and one sophomore—
Tyler Shea.

The Griffins had their best season sine becoming a NCAA DII program with a record number of top 10 times and marks and three NCAA provisional qualifying times and marks.
