Pocatello. Idaho--The men's and women's indoor track and field team competed in the 2018 Mountain State Games, hosted by Idaho State University, over the weekend. New program records were set in the men's 4x400-meter relay and the distance medley. The women set records in the 400-meter, shot put and weight throw.

Mitchell Sims, and freshman Aidan Urban teamed up for the 4x400 realy. They finished in 3:27.72, beating the previous record set two years ago.
Freshmen
Skyler Hobbs,
DJ Matthews, Nickerson, and Urban ran the distance medley relay and finished in 11:01.56, setting a new program record.
Allison Wright set a new record in the 400-meter, recording a time of 59.14, beating the record set by
Megan Molumby in 2013.
Jordan Shelby set records in the shot put and weight throw. Shelby beat the old shot put record, recorded in 2012, by more than 3 meters, throwing for 13.37 meters. She beat the weight throw record, from 2015, by more than 4 meters, recording a throw of 15.69 meters.
The team will next compete at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Colorado School of Mines, February 23-24.
