SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster track & field team travels to Pocatello, Idaho, this weekend to compete in the Mountain States Games hosted by Idaho State University. The final regular season meet of the indoor season for the Griffins will take place on Friday and Saturday at Holt Arena.

Westminster will be looking to continue on the success it has had this indoor season when they begin races on Friday night. The highlight of the Friday races for the Griffins will be a team running the Distance Medley for the first time since 2013.

Friday also features Griffins running the 60 Hurdles, 60 Meter Dash, 5-Kilometer, 200 Meter Dash, and Long Jump. Saturday events featuring Griffins include the Mile Run, 400 Meter, 800 Meter, and 3-Kilometer.

It has been an excellent indoor season for the Westminster men as they have set nine school records and have 31 marks in the school's top-10 list.
Wesley Spargo has led the Griffins charge with five school records and another as part of a relay team.
Joe Cremer has established two school records during the season.

The women's team has put 12 marks inside the school's top-10 list during the season.
Payton Schiff leads all Griffins with five top-10 marks.

After completing the weekend in Pocatello, Westminster will begin preparations for their first-ever appearance at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Indoor Championships. That meet will be held on February 26-27 in Chadron, Neb.
