The Westminster women's soccer team is back in action this weekend as they host a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action. The first two RMAC games in school history sees Colorado Christian in town on Friday at 2:30 p.m. and then Colorado School of Mines on Sunday at noon.
Both games will be played at Dumke Field and be followed by a Westminster men's soccer game. Tickets for the games are available at

ABOUT WESTMINSTERWestminster moves into its first season in the RMAC after completing a perfect 3-0 trip to Hawaii over Labor Day Weekend. The Griffins defeated Hawaii Pacific in overtime in the season opener and then claimed victories at BYU-Hawaii and Chaminade.
The Griffins enter the weekend averaging 1.67 goals per game to rank third in the RMAC and they are 10th in the league by taking 11 shots per game. The team scored multiple goals in two outings and they tallied just one assist. They out 42.4 percent of their shots on goal and take 4.33 corner kicks per contest.
Westminster begins the week having not allowed a goal in the past 264 minutes of play with two consecutive shutouts. The Griffins lead the RMAC with a team goals-against-average of 0.31 and having allowed just one goal. Opponents are taking 8.3 shots per game against the Griffins and they put 56 percent of those attempts on goal. Westminster keepers have average 4.33 saves per game with a .929 save percentage.
Senior
Rylei North has scored a team-best three goals this season and she is tied for the RMAC lead in both goals and points (6).
Madeline Orr and
Megan Molumby have the other two goals with
Alicia May recording the team's only assist. North is tied for RMAC honors with two game-winning goals and Molumby is tied for fifth with one winner. North is taking 4.0 shots per game – fourth in the RMAC – and her 12 total shots in tied for third in the conference.
Abi Yanke earned the win in goal during all three games this season and she currently leads the RMAC with a 0.37 goals-against-average. The senior is second in the conference with a .917 save percentage and 10th with 11 saves.
Breanna Empey played 45 minutes at Chaminade and made two saves without allowing a goal.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION• Colorado Christian – The Cougars enter the week at 0-3-1 on the year and they have dropped their last three outings. CCU has scored four goals this season and they average 5.5 shots per contest. They have a team GAA of 2.19 with a .727 save percentage. Meghan Troupe leads the Cougars with two goals and Shaya Lawrence has made 21 saves.
Friday is the first all-time meeting between the Griffins and CCU.
• Colorado School of Mines – The Orediggers begin the week at 2-2 on the season and coming off a 1-0 win over Texas Woman's College on Sept. 13. They average 0.75 goals per game and have been shutout twice this season. Mines is attempting 20.25 shots per game and has a team GAA of 0.75. Jaclyn Knott, Acacia Ortiz, and Laya Rybicki have scored the team's three goals. Sam Zumbro has played every minute in goal with 14 saves.
Westminster and Colorado Mines will meet for the first time on Sunday.
EARLY SUCCESSWestminster enters this week's slate of games as one of two teams in the RMAC without a loss this season. The Griffins and Adams State haven't lost on the year, but Westminster is the only team without a tie as ASU is 2-0-2. The nine points from Westminster is tied with Regis, UC Colorado Springs, and MSU Denver for most in the league as they other three teams are all 3-1.
HOME DOMINANCEThe Griffins have been stellar on the home turf of Dumke Field in the history of the program. The team is 49-13-6 (.765) at home all-time and they posted a 16-game unbeaten streak from August 2011 through September 2012. They enter this season unbeaten in 10 straight games at Dumke Field dating back to the end of the 2013 season. During the current streak, Westminster has outscored the opposition 26-5 with eight wins and five shutouts.
ALL-TIME SCORING LEADERRylei North has continued where she left off from last season. After scoring a school record 16 goals in 2014, North has already scored three times this season. She enters the week as the Westminster career leader with 29 goals and 61 points. North is the only player in school history with two 10-goal seasons and she also holds the school record with 10 game-winning goals, 134 shots, and 86 shots on goal. Her two goals at Chaminade marked the eighth multi-goal game of her career.
STARTER IN CAGEAbi Yanke earned three wins during the opening weekend and sits second in school history with 26 career victories. The senior leads the RMAC with a 0.37 goals-against-average and she is the Westminster all-time leader with a 0.67 career GAA. She has started the last 38 games played by the team with a 26-7-5 record in those starts. Yanke is also second in school history with 17 shutouts and her 105 saves are fourth-most in team history.
RMAC PRESEASON POLLWestminster begins its first season in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in 2015 and they were picked to finish 12th in a poll of the league's coaches that was released last month. The Griffins received 18 points in the poll. Colorado Mines was chosen as the favorite to win the RMAC title after winning the regular season and tournament titles last season.
