SALT LAKE CITY – Four members of the Westminster College outdoor track & field team have qualified for the 2014 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, the national office announced today. Shelby Ellsworth, Casey Evans, Justine Kueffner and Oliver Lange will all represent Westminster at next week's meet.

The 2014 National Championships will be held at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium in Gulf Shores, Ala. from May 22-24. The four competitors from Westminster are the most the school has ever sent to the meet and marks the third-straight year the Griffins have had at least one competitor at the National Championships.

Ellsworth will be making her first appearance at the National Championships when she competes in the Javelin Throw on May 22 at 3 p.m. MDT. The sophomore qualified for the event with her throw of 41.17m at the Air Force Twilight on May 9. She enters the National Championships ranked 10th in the NAIA in the Javelin.

Evans will also be making his first appearance at the NAIA National Championships. The freshman will compete in the High Jump at 5 p.m. on May 23. Evans cleared 2.03m at the Wildcat Outdoor Open on April 12 to earn his invitation to the national meet. He finished the regular season ranked No. 17 in the event.

Kueffner returns to the NAIA meet to compete in the Heptathlon for a second-straight season. The junior finished 16th at the 2013 National Championships when she scored 3,943 points in the seven events. She qualified for this year's meet by posting a school-record 4,394 points at the BYU Robison Invitational on April 24-25. Kueffner is ranked 12th heading into the two-day event that begins at 9:30 a.m. on May 22.

Lange heads to Ala. ready to compete in his third-straight Marathon at the NAIA National Championships. The senior is a two-time All-American in the event with a fifth-place finish in 2011 and a sixth-place result last year. Lange is the only Griffin in school history to qualify for the National Championships three times. He also ran the 3,000 Meter at the NAIA Indoor national Championships this season and he finished 28th at the NAIA Cross Country National Championships in November.
