Track Travels to Pocatello for Snake River Open on Saturday

SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster College track & field team will spend Saturday at Holt Arena in Pocatello, Idaho for the Snake River Open. The Griffins will be competing in their third indoor meet of the season and their first of two in Pocatello.

LAST TIME OUT
Westminster had some good results last weekend at the BYU invitational. Justine Kueffner scored 2,902 points in the Pentathlon after setting school records by clearing 1.54 meters in the High Jump and hitting 4.97 meters in the long jump. Alexandra Westbrooks established a school-record in the 60 meter dash with her 8.26 seconds. Jennylee Swallow went 8.30 seconds in the same event for the third-fastest time by a Griffin.

On the men's side, Jef Marsicola recorded a time of 2:00.74 in the 800 meters which ranks third in team history. Oliver Lange went 9:34.72 in the 3,000 meters and Peter Chew finished the Mile at 5:16.32. Joeseph Feichko completed the 300 meter run in 37.53 seconds.

NATIONAL RANKINGS
Entering this weekend's event, Kueffner currently sits fifth in the NAIA in the Pentathlon. Kueffner scored 2,921 points in the event at the Jacksons Open and Multi on Dec. 13 and is currently qualified for the NAIA National Championships.
