WHITEFISH, Mont. – The Westminster College women's soccer team was honored with 16student-athletes being named Academic All-Frontier Conference, commissioner Kent Paulson announced today.

Westminster was second in the conference with 16 members on the academic team, which also is a new team record for number of recipients.  The Griffins have now had 54 student-athletes named academic all-conference in the program's history.

Lisa Johnson, Vanessa Jordan, Elaina Pappas, Sarah Swenson and Nicole Taylor were each named to the team for the third time in their Westminster careers.  Second-time recipients from Westminster were Lindsay Bekken, Heather Hillam and Nikki Kopfman.  Jessica Harris, Alyssa Hill, Claire Huntsberger, Corie Walch, Lorin Wathen, Brianna Wilson, Dayna Winter-Nolte and Sadie Young were each honored for the first time.

In total, the Frontier recognized 57 student-athletes for their performance in the classroom.  To be eligible for the team, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in standing, maintain a 3.0 GPA and participate in one half of their team's games.
