BOULDER, Colo. - The back-to-back RMLC Champion Westminster men's lacrosse team got a goal from
Josh Condas with just over seven minutes to play to give them a 12-11 lead over Metro State.
Dallas McLellan turned away all Metro chances from there and Westminster moves to the RMLC Championship game on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Lance Nielsen took a faceoff and turned it into an unassisted goal with 8:25 to play to tie the game at 11. Condas then found the net for the sixth time of the afternoon for the game winner. The game went back-and-forth all day with neither team holding an advantage of more than two goals.
Weston Morley added two goals for the Griffins and
Dan Larkin scored a goal and had an assist. McLellan recorded 10 saves along with several forced turnovers in the Westminster net.
Westminster will face Northern Colorado on Saturday, May 2. That championship game will begin at 1:00 p.m.
