LA MIRADA, Calif. - Eight different Griffins found net as a balanced offense and solid defense led to Westminster's sixth victory of the year. Sophomore, Lance Nielsen (11 w/ 4 l) and Freshman Marshall Serzan (6 w/ 3 l) dominated face-off play for the Griffins who dominated the ground ball stats (53/36), and improved to 6-3 on the season.
Senior attackman Ricky Larkin (3g /1a) led the Westminster offense which broke open a tight contest in the third quarter. Freshman
Chris Baer (1g) took a feed from
Kevin Gee (1g/1a) making an acrobatic move to find net capping a four goal streak that sealed the win for Westminster.
The Griffins return to Dumke Field this week to face two additional PNCLL opponents as #13 Western Oregon (Mar 25th) and Central Washington (Mar 26th) come to town.
