Box Score SALT LAKE CITY - After a sluggish first half, the Westminster Griffins dominated the second 45 minutes and picked up a 3-1 win over San Diego Christian. The Griffins outshout the Hawks 19-2 in the second stanza en route to improving its record to 3-3-0 on the season.

Jen Pirente evened the game at one when she rebounded her penalty kick in the 63rd minute. Then six minutes later Pirente struck again, heading in a direct kick from Vanessa Jordan. Sarah Swenson slid one past the keeper in the 76th minute for a little insurance.

Westminster returns to the pitch on Friday, September 12 when they host Dominican at 6:00 p.m. on Dumke Field.
