Westminster's Mailei Myers Named to Preseason All-RMAC Volleyball Team
Salt Lake City, Utah – Westminster University senior middle hitter Mailei Myers has been named to the 2025 Preseason All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Volleyball Team, the league announced Tuesday. The honor marks a historic milestone for the program, as Myers becomes the first Griffin in Westminster's NCAA Division II era to be recognized on the RMAC's preseason list.
A 2024 Second Team All-RMAC selection, Myers has established herself as one of the league's premier middle hitters. The West Jordan, Utah, native was a cornerstone of Westminster's success last season, combining efficiency on offense with a commanding presence at the net defensively. Myers has consistently raised the level of play for the Griffins and has become a clear example of excellence within the program.
The preseason recognition reflects not only her achievements but also the role she has played in shaping the culture of Westminster Volleyball. Myers' dedication and performance have set a standard for her teammates, making her one of the most respected and deserving players in the conference heading into 2025.
The RMAC Preseason All-Conference Team is determined by a vote of the league's head coaches and is based on returning players from last season's All-RMAC selections. Myers joins a distinguished group of athletes that includes MSU Denver's Annika Helf, South Dakota Mines' Hannah Benes, and Colorado Mesa's Kaitlyn Hall, all of whom are expected to be key performers during the upcoming season.
In addition to Myers' recognition, Westminster was picked to finish seventh in the 2025 RMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, earning 105 points. MSU Denver, winners of four consecutive regular-season titles, was tabbed as the league favorite, followed closely by Colorado Mesa and Colorado Christian.
The upcoming RMAC season will culminate at the 2025 NCAA Division II Volleyball Championships, scheduled for Dec. 11–13 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
