Boulder City, NV - The Westminster Griffins Men's Golf team showcased their talent at the RMAC Men's Golf Championship this week, with promising performances from several players.
Nic Jensen led the charge, finishing at an impressive -1 to secure a tie for 12th place.
Hayden Howell also made his mark, ending tied for 15th with a three-day score of even par.
As a team, the Griffins displayed resilience and skill, ultimately clinching 6th place on the team leaderboard. Coach David Tottori expressed satisfaction with the performance, particularly highlighting the notable achievements of Jensen and Howell, both freshmen. "It was nice to see Nic and Hayden finish in the top 15 for their first conference tournament," said Tottori, adding, "The future is bright with these two leading the program."
Bryson Hirabayashi also made a solid contribution, finishing in 23rd place with a score of +5, while Philip Meima ended his tournament with a score of +24. Reflecting on the tournament, Tottori extended his appreciation to the team's seniors for their dedication and hard work throughout the season. "Congratulations to our Seniors for working hard," said Tottori, noting that they will be greatly missed.
