Westminster Cross Country Teams Begin Season Strong at Sagebrush Invite

Logan, UT - The Westminster University men's and women's cross country teams got their season underway with a promising start at the Sagebrush Invite, hosted by Utah State. The day was marked by impressive performances and personal bests, setting a positive tone for the season ahead.

Women's Team: The women's team, led by the indomitable Amanda Lee, delivered a standout performance in the challenging 5k race. Lee secured a runner-up finish, demonstrating her exceptional talent and determination right from the starting gun. Her performance set a high standard for the team.

Amanda was closely followed by her teammates, including Ana Bravo, Haven Finley, Bianca Greco, and Morgan Withers, who showcased their commitment and competitive spirit throughout the race. Notably, the team also introduced three talented freshmen to the collegiate racing scene, hinting at a bright and promising season ahead. Their debut races were a testament to their potential, and they are expected to make significant contributions as the season unfolds.
