Salt Lake City, UT - This past week the Women's Scholar-Athlete of the Year and All-Academic Athletes for the 2022 NCAA Division II Cross Country season were announced and Westminster found five players on the list by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
"Congratulations to our women's cross-country team. Five individuals earned All-Academics and collectively they are number two in the nation with the highest cumulative team GPA of .04 from #1," head coach
Dan Quinn. "Great Job in representing Westminster College and excelling at what you're here for."
Saydi Anderson,
Amanda Lee, Coutney McAlindon, Hannah Roher-Fitzhugh, and
Emily Worlinen were all named to this year's award for their success.
"In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top 30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers," said in the release.
