Salt Lake City, UT -- Westminster Griffins (1-7, 1-4) hosted Colorado Mesa (6-4, 4-1) on Wednesday, night at home, but with a tough defensive game plan it wasn't enough as the Mavericks got the best of the Griffins 17-3 to capture a road conference victory in Utah.
Westminster was held scoreless after the first period of action and held Colorado Mesa to 6 goals, but the second period
Maddie Kelleher added the first points on the scoreboard as the Griffins trailed 10-1 after 30 minutes of play.

Grace Carico added the last one in the fourth.
Hannah Bargeron was in front of the net for Westminster and added 7 saves in the game.
