KEYSTONE, Colo. - Denise Dingsleder finished with a total time of 1:52.13 to win the women's slalom and
Francesco Gori finished as runner-up on the men's side as Westminster men's and women's alpine ski teams combined for a second overall finish at the Denver Invitational which concluded at Keystyone Resort on Monday.
Dingsleder had the fastest run of the day in her first trip down the course, finishing with a time of 53.86, before posting the best second-run time as well, crossing the finish line at 58.27. Teammate
Evelina Fredricsson had the second-best first run at 54.20 and followed up with a 59.52 second run to place third in the women's event.
Hannah Saethereng also finished top-10 in Monday's slalom, finishing with a total time of 1:54.32 to pick-up 22 team points as Westminster's women tallied 171 points over the two races to finish atop the DU Invite women's standings.
On the men's side,
Francesco Gori got off to a strong start with the second-best first run at 58.27. Gori followed up with a 57.81 on his second run and finished as the men's runner-up.
