Men's Lacrosse announces 2023 schedule

SALT LAKE CITY – December 15, 2022 – Coming off a 10-win season and an RMAC Regular Season Championship, Westminster Men's Lacrosse is set for a full 14-game slate in 2023, including 6 home games in the friendly confines of Dumke Field on the Westminster College campus.

The 2023 schedule is highlighted by four Top 10 ranked opponents from 2022 including a home tilt against Rollins College (FL) on March 13th, who will be making their way out west since their last trip in 2019. The Griffins will also welcome 2022 HCAC (spell out conferences?) Champion Colorado College to campus for the first time. The last contest between the two schools in 2017 ended with a 12-9 victory for the Griffins in Colorado Springs.

Westminster will kick off 2023 on the road against the University of Indianapolis on Saturday, February 11 followed by back-to-back road games against two other GVLC opponents, starting with Maryville University on Friday, February 24, and then Rockhurst University on Sunday, February 26 hosted at Maryville in St. Louis.

The Griffins return home for a three-game stand verse Lynn University (FL) on Friday, March 3, then RMAC Conference foe CSU Pueblo on Monday, March 6, and concluding with Rollins College on Monday, March 13.

They will then embark on five straight road games starting with an eastern trip to face 2022 national champion the University of Tampa (FL) on Thursday, March 23, and then vs. Florida Southern University on Sunday, March 26 in Lakeland, FL. The group then hits the road for two straight weekends of RMAC play in Colorado verse Colorado Mesa on Saturday, April 1, CSU Pueblo Friday, April 7, and Adams State on Saturday, April 8.

Westminster closes out the regular season with a three-game home stand including Colorado College on Saturday, April 15, followed by Colorado Mesa Saturday, April,22, and lastly Adams State on Friday, April 28.

The Griffins have made six straight RMAC Tournament Championship appearances winning two of the last three. Over the past six seasons, the program has garnered many individual and team accolades including six straight Brechler Awards given to the top men's team GPA in the RMAC.
