COLORADO SPRINGS - Westminster men's soccer senior midfielder
Kaden Amano was named RMAC Second Team All-Conference as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Ian Rose,
Luke Merrill,
Zach Moss and
Jace Vance were also each recognized as honorable mention all-conference selections.
Amano is the only student-athlete to start all in all 18 men's soccer games this season as he captained the Griffins to a 6-4 RMAC record and a No. 3 seed in the RMAC Tournament in his final season playing for Westminster. He was a First Team All-RMAC selection following the Spring 2021 season and is now a three-time second team all-conference selection after earning the honor back in 2018 and 2019. Amano has a pair of assists so far this season and added a goal from the penalty spot with a clinical finish in a 2-1 win over Fort Lewis back on Sept. 26.
Rose has four shutouts to his name this season and sits fourth in the conference with a 1.002 goals against average and is fifth with 3.86 saves per game. Merrill has three goals and two assists as a winger for the Griffins while
Zach Moss and
Jace Vance have each started matches on the Westminster back line this season. Moss has 11 starts on the season and Vance has started all but one match for a Griffins' defense that has the seventh fewest goals allowed.
