About the Griffins:
- Westminster suffered losses in each of its two road conference matchups last weekend. The Griffins fell 2-0 at No. 12 Colorado Mesa on Wednesday night and came up short in a 3-1 defeat at the hands of MSU Denver on Sunday.
- Goalkeeper
Ian Rose ranks third in the RMAC with a .759 save percentage. His 1.291 goals against average and two shutouts each rank sixth in the conference.
-
Luke Merrill and
Adam Koblanski are tied for the team lead in scoring with three goals apiece while
Max Bingman and
Kaden Amano are tied in assists with two each.
- In the Griffins' last match at Dumke Field, Bingman scored a golden goal, overtime winner off an assist from Amano to give Westminster a 2-1 win over Fort Lewis.
- The last time Westminster was under the lights, Koblanski scored a hat trick with two of his three goals just minutes apart to help Westminster to a 6-0 win over Adams State.
- Westminster has three come-from-behind wins on the season after Bingman's golden-goal heroics, overcoming 1-0 deficits in road wins at Fort Lewis and UCCS, followed by a second win over Fort Lewis back at Dumke Field.
About the Rangers:
- Regis, No. 8 in the latest USCA NCAA Division II South Central Region standings, heads into the week off of back-to-back losses last weekend at Colorado Christian and No. 25 Colorado School of Mines but have split their first six conference matches with wins over MSU Denver, South Dakota Mines, and then-24th-ranked CSU Pueblo.
- The Rangers began the season with a trio of home wins that was highlighted by a 2-1 win over then-fourth-ranked Colorado School of Mines back on Sept. 8.  Regis is 2-2 against top-25 teams so far following last weekend's loss at 25th-ranked Colo. School of Mines.
- Vihjamur Kaldal is tied for the RMAC lead with eight goals scored (.615 goals scored/game).
- Erickson Cooper ranks fifth in the conference with 10 goals allowed in his nine starts (1.272 gaa).
- The Griffins have won the previous two matches against Regis including a 3-0 win back in Sept. of 2018, the last match of the all-time series at Dumke Field. Westminster won, 1-0, the last time the two played back in 2019 with Regis choosing to forgoe all competition in 2020-21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Â
- Westminster's 2018 win was both the first home win and the largest win all-time for the Griffins vs. Regis.
- Regis took the first six matchups all-time and owns a 5-15-1 advantage in the all-time series with Westminster that dates back to 1984.
About the Hardrockers:
- With just one win and one draw on the season, S.D. Mines sits in the basement of the current RMAC men's soccer standings. The Hardrockers had a 2-1 season-opening win against St. Cloud State and a 2-2 draw against SCSU the following day, but have since suffered 11 straight losses including an 0-6 start to conference play.
- Of those 11 losses, S.D. Mines have dropped six by just a single goal including a 1-0 loss in its last match this past Sunday at Colorado Christian.
- The Hardrockers have allowed a whopping 3.00 goals per game, and have allowed more shots on goal (129) by opponents than total shot attempts (128) from their own attack.
- Westminster is 6-1 all-time against S.D. Mines and has outscored the Hardrockers, 15-4, in the series that dates back to 2015.
- S.D. Mines won the first-ever matchup, 1-0, in Salt Lake City back in 2015, but Westminster has taken the previous six and has shutout the Hardrockers in the last three.
- Westminster won its last match vs. S.D. Mines, 2-0, on the road in Rapid City, S.D.
- George Martinez has six goals, half of the Hardrockers' 12 goals scored as a team this season, but has not scored since Oct. 3 against MSU Denver. He scored one goal in each of the team's first four matches but has just two goals over the Hardrockers' 11-match losing skid.
