Desmond is a 5-foot-6 midfielder from Olympia, Wash., who just completed his second year at Tacoma Community College. This past season at TCC, Desmond captained his side to the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) championship and led his team in goals and assists. He also earned the NWAC-West MVP award and was selected as an NWAC All-Star.
"Connor is a talented player that will add more depth to our attack," Pittman said of Desmond. "He brings something different to the game and in addition to being very skillful, he is a hard working player, which is sometimes hard to find. Coach (Stephen) Hofer did a great job in identifying him a year ago and we are lucky to have him!"
Flitton is a 5-foot-9 midfielder from Kaysville, Utah, who is transferring from the University of the Pacific with three years of eligibility remaining. As a freshman, Flitton played in 14 games and helped Pacific to the second round of the NCAA tournament before losing to eventual national champion Stanford. Before Pacific, Flitton attended Davis High School were he was a 4-year starter, 2-year captain, first team all region, first team all-state and was the runner up Gatorade Player of the Year in 2016. He played his club soccer for Sparta United.
"Gavin is a very good player and could play any number of positions for us and help our program," Pittman commented about Flitton. "Also, having the experience he has at the club and collegiate levels will definitely improve our team."
The Griffins are coming off a successful spring campaign that saw them finish 6-2-2. Coach Pittman begins his second season as head coach of the program when camp opens in the fall.
