Westminster Makes Final Road Trip of Regular Season
The Westminster women's lacrosse team will spend the weekend in Colorado playing a pair of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference games. The Griffins play at No. 15 Regis on Thursday at 4 p.m. in Denver. They will then face Colorado State – Pueblo on Saturday at noon in Pueblo, Colo.
Both games will be broadcast live on the RMAC Network with the host institution producing the content. The RMAC Network is available online or by downloading the RMAC Network app on your Roku device. Live stats will also be available for both games.
About the Griffins
Westminster takes to the road at 6-3 overall this season after an 18-14 home win over Rockhurst last Thursday. The Griffins are currently fifth in the RMAC with a 4-2 record in conference games. They need one win or CSU-Pueblo loss to clinch a spot in the RMAC Tournament.

Katie Adams are the top two goals scorers in the conference by averaging 4.00 and 3.33 goals per game respectively.
Morgan Bakarich leads the conference in averaging 2.56 assists per contest. Hieden average of 4.56 points per game is second in the RMAC with Bakarich in fifth at 4.00 points per game. Heiden is first in the league by taking 6.33 shots per outing.
Westminster leads the RMAC by gathering 16.78 draw controls per game, an average that would rank second in the NCAA if the team were eligible for national rankings. They corral 22.22 ground balls per game – second in the conference – while creating 10.89 caused turnovers per game.
Heiden leads the RMAC by getting 4.89 draw controls per game. Adams picks up 2.56 ground balls per game to rank seventh in the league and she is 10th by posting 1.56 CTs per game.
Westminster makes a RMAC-leading 10.33 saves per game while sitting third with a .467 save percentage.
Taylor Hekking is third in the conference with her .487 save percentage and sixth by recoding 6.44 saves per game.
Heiden Climbing
Kira Heiden leads the Griffins with 36 goals and 41 points this season. Her 4.00 goals per game lead the RMAC and would rank eighth in the NCAA. She is second in the conference and 30th nationally by scoring 4.56 points per game while leading the RMAC by taking 6.33 shots per game. She has scored multiple goals in a game seven times with at least four goals in six games. Heiden is fourth in school history with 136 goals and sits sixth with 34 assists and 170 points. She is second in team history with 159 draw controls.
Adams Streak
Katie Adams is second on the team with 30 goals and she ranks second in the RMAC by scoring 3.33 goals per game. When she did not score against Lindenwood, Adams finished tied for the second-longest goal scoring streak in team history with a goal in 27 consecutive games dating back to the 2015 season. Adams leads this year's team with six free-position goals, 23 ground balls, and 14 caused turnovers. Earlier this season she became the seventh Griffin to reach 100 career points and she is seven goals away from becoming the seventh Griffin to score 100 career goals.
Bakarich Creating
Morgan Bakarich has at least one assist in all but one game this season and she leads the team with 23 assists. Her 2.56 assists per game lead the RMAC and would rank 14th in the NCAA if Westminster players were eligible for national rankings. Bakarich has added 13 goals to rank second on the team with 36 points. Her 4.00 points per game place fifth in the RMAC. Bakarich ranks fifth in school history with 48 assists and she is one point shy of becoming the eighth Griffin to record 100 career points.
Hekking Stopping
Taylor Hekking has started all nine games for the Griffins with 21 consecutive starts since joining the program last season. In 255 minutes this season, Hekking has made 58 saves for a .487 save percentage and 14.36 goals-against-average. She tallied a season-high 12 saves in the loss to Lindenwood on March 18 and is sixth in the RMAC by making 6.44 saves per game. Hekking ranks third in team history with 128 career saves.
