SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Westminster cross country teams wrapped up the 2016 season at the RMAC Championship on Saturday morning. The Griffin women finished 14th while the men were 15th.

The Griffins men finished 15th after scoring 448 points.
Michael Montoya led the team with an 80th-place finish. Montoya completed the 8-kilometer course in 28:28 to be the first finishing Griffin for the fourth time this season.

Eric Fykerud finished the race in 29:37 to place 103rd overall.
Eric Mellmer went 30:05 for his 109th-place result.
Jacob Stelter was 114th at 30:51 with
Shay Jonart behind him in 30:53 to finish 115th.

On the women's side, Westminster recorded 394 points to secure a 14th-place result. It was
Payton Schiff that led the Griffins by placing 46th overall. Schiff posted a time of 24:38 on the 6-kilomer course to lead the team in all five races this season.

Emily Schmitt finish in 25:55 to place 72nd in the field.
Mara Kushner placed 105th after finishing the race in 27:57.
Naena Bland secured her 109th-place result with a time of 28:27 while
Olivia Causse was 11th at 28:34.
Victoria Hickman completed the Griffin team with a time of 29:13 to place 114th.

Colorado School of Mines took home the men's title while Adams State won the women's title. The men's individual title went to Sydney Gidabuday of Adams State after his time of 25:16. Adams State's Jenna Thurman took the women's title in 22:06.
