"When our shots are going from three in it makes us tough to beat," Westminster head coach
Shelley Jarrard said after the win. "They were going in tonight and everyone was contributing."
Â
On the defensive end, the Griffins limited Lewis-Clark State (18-5, 4-3) to 26.3 percent shooting and just 3-of-16 (18.8 percent) from beyond the arc. They held the visitors to their fewest points in a game this season and after a 7-0 run early in the first, LC State only scored four straight pints on two occasions.

Â
"Our bench was huge for us tonight," Jarrard commented about the Griffins 41 points from the reserves. "It allowed me to substitute more players to keep us fresh."
Â
Five Griffins scored in double figures with
Tia Pappas and
Mika Pinner leading the way with 17 points apiece. The career-high for Pinner came on 6-of-6 shooting with five triples and eight rebounds. Pappas added nine rebounds and seven assists.

Â
Westminster will now return to the road to open the second half of Frontier Conference play next week. The first of two road games comes on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. MT when they face Rocky Mountain (Mont.) in Billings, Mont.
