2013–14 (Junior): Made 24 appearances coming off the bench ... averaged 2.8 points per game ... shot 41.2 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from 3-point territory ... grabbed 28 rebounds with 13 assists and nine steals ... scored in double figures three times ... had multiple rebounds in seven appearances ... scored five points in Griffin debut against Mary (10/30) ... finished with eight points versus Westmont (11/7) ... posted five points with two rebounds against Montana Tech (1/4) ... scored 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting in home win over Montana Western (1/18) ... scored 11 points with four rebounds against Rocky Mountain (1/23) ... posted 10 points with six rebounds versus Dickinson State (2/6) ... had five points in win at Montana Tech (2/22).
Before Westminster: Richens joins the Griffins after spending one season with the University of Alaska-Anchorage and another at Salt Lake Community College. The 5-foot-8 guard from Roosevelt, Utah prepped at Roosevelt High School where she was twice named a first team all-state selection and the 3A MVP by The Salt Lake Tribune her junior year. Richens appeared in 30 games with the Bruins last season and was second on the team in scoring at 9.1 points per game. She led the team with 41 steals and was second with 77 assists. Richens was named Second Team All-SWAC last season and was presented with the Leadership Award, Academic Achievement Award and named to the President’s List.
